Hi, everyone! If there was a paint project that changed my life for the better it was when I found out I could paint glass. Did anyone start to sing the lyrics from Wicked just now?
but, because I knew you I have been changed for good….
Well, I feel like I was changed for the better with my relationship with paint and glass. My house and I were changed for the better. I had a similar reaction when I painted my vinyl windows after an expensive purchase mistake.
Painting glass meant a lot of dated glass accessories got a second, upcycled life. And, if you have been a reader for awhile you know I love a good upcycle project.
PAINTED GLASS PUMPKINS BEFORE
After that huge success, I was confident paint would update the dozen + glass pumpkins I bought a few years ago when a candle store went out of business. Here’s another place to find glass accessories for cheap.
Paint added new life to my hoarded glass pumpkins. And, it turns out painting glass generated the type of enthusiasm one would unleash if grownups finger painted before naptime. wink
Like fingerpainting, painting glass is fun and virtually foolproof! Every stroke of the brush or spray paint creates a fresh coat of paint across a shiny glass surface. And, painting glass is calming- like fingerpainting. It really is the grown-up version of fingerpainting.
And, painted glass pumpkins are way more fun to photograph!
