It’s my favorite time of the week; when the week-ends. It’s the Week-ends wrap up of finds around the internet. This week’s finds are all about brands and products made in the USA. If you have a favorite made in the USA brand please include it in the comments and I will feature in a future issue of The Week-ends.
Now let’s take a peek at some of my favorite brands made in the USA.
I love buying made in the USA products because in a small way I feel I am helping small businesses bottom line. I know I may pay a little more and that’s okay. The difference in price for a made in the USA brand is less than a cup of Starbuck’s coffee. And, because these items are not shipping from overseas I find customer service has the ability to correct issues quickly. There is a fun line that if you want to solve the deficit, any deficit, ask a small business owner.
My son found this company when he developed a liking for Southern clothing brands. My son followed this brand on social media and overtime he loved their family story. This year Santa brought all my boys a few Collared Green long sleeve t-shirts. Their shorts are so, so soft like a well-loved blankie!
Etsy is a great place to support Made in the USA goods. Just make sure you click the “USA based companies” box on the left sidebar of the homepage on Etsy.
BAKE IN THE USA
f you love to bake there are USA made brands and baking products. Now, I only buy baking sheets made in the USA. And, I can find a great selection at HomeGoods and Costco carries made in the USA baking sheets.
I feel like buying made in the USA is my penance for all the stuff I buy that is made overseas.
Here are a few USA brands that make some or all of their product in the USA. Like this fun kitchen store.
Williams-Sonoma, where I purchased our dining room chairs, (when I went online to order a zucchini spiralizer) makes many of their furniture frames in the USA. Like this favorite piece of furniture in our house. The chaise below is used every single day. I would love to add a second chaise to our master bedroom.
And, we all love to paint, right? America has the market on paint brushes!
Three of the top brands are all made in the USA. Check out your brushes! #wooster #purdy #braun!
And, finally a little disclosure. You see I think made in the USA companies are sexy. But, I might be more biased because my husband and I own a niche, manufacturing company that makes disposable hemostats and clamps in Colorado.
Because nothing says sexy like a disposable hemostat! wink.
