I was so excited to attend this year’s #BlogHer16 Experts Among Us in Los Angeles. I casually tossed out the idea of attending #BlogHer16 the end of June to the family. With no school, tennis tournaments or work conflicts, I had airfare and hotel booked 24 hours later.
And, the added bonus of this year’s #BlogHer16 was my recent college graduate is attending with me! I may tell everyone she is still in college, because I can shave a few years off my age! The truth is she is studying for the CPA exam this summer so it gave her a much needed break after completing her first exam on Monday. She has 3 more to go and her job starts the end of September. Woohoo!
I packed business casual and business cards. Thanks to a coffee collision with my tablet,a day before we were set to leave for LA, I have a new laptop! Bad timing with expenses, but I love the Microsoft Surface Pro!
I am slowly re-entering reality after attending the BlogHer16: Experts Among Us in Los Angeles. My daughter attended with me, taking a much needed break from her CPA exams before her job starts the end of September. This trip gave her a few days away from the books and a chance to see some inspiring women. We had a great time together! I think I used all my words at BlogHer16 as I can’t seem to write a sentence this evening.
I attended a breakfast with Allison Gutterman, the President and 3rd generation of Jelmar, the family-owned cleaning products manufacturer of the CLR® and Tarn-X® products.
There is so much to share, but today I am just going to share a few photos. I want to give the Keynote speakers a proper introduction and I am not ready to do that tonight. My desk is covered with business cards, promotional deals, brand descriptions, a cookbook (written by Freddie Prinze Jr. from Scooby Doo fame) and a 1/2 dozen lip balms from the Go RVing booth. My boys ate Kraft Macaroni & Cheese today. Thank you Kraft!
Here’s a tease of a few of the Speakers.
