Happy Friday! I have a going away party tonight for a dear friend I met through our boys’ junior tennis tournaments. We met while watching our boys play on opposite courts at a tennis facility. She walked up to me and asked if the lefty was my son. She proceeded to share with me how she much she thought of my son and how adorable he was and she loved his hair. I found her compliment so endearing and thoughtful to share. I never forgot.
Fast forward eight years and she and her husband are nearing an empty nest. They decided to move closer to their son’s college in California. I miss her already.
Okay so back to Friday Finds. Today’s favorite finds are from Marshall’s. There is a Marshall’s near my son’s tennis facility so I tend to run in there when I have 45 minutes to spare. This week I went specifically for note cards. You know you need new note cards when there are more envelopes than cards. It was slim pickings in the stationery section, but I found these and loved the colors.
Once I got home and unpacked the note cards I noticed the detail of the pink, blue, teal and grey note cards. Each color has a different message printed on the top of the card. Lined cards make them neat and the note cards’ borders have the ink in the corresponding color.
I just about squealed when I saw the adorable envelopes. The envelopes on the side which adds a little bit of fancy. The envelopes also correspond to the four colors of note cards. The cost for a box of 50 count note cards set me back $5.99 Love! If you are looking for monogrammed stationery I shared a favorite gift idea during the holidays.
I grabbed the note cards and then set my eyes on this spiral binder. I am addicted to the 6.5 x 8.5″ inch spiral binders WITH lined tear out sheets. This size binder fits in my bag. Last year I used a larger size journal and it just was too big. I’m picky like that. Again, I didn’t notice until I got home the colors on this spiral binder match my note cards. Love the message to! I think this binder may be the journal I need to organize my thoughts, projects, lists and my life. Not bad for $3.99.
Isn’t it fun how one purchase can motivate us to organize or finally tackle a project. I have high hopes for these note cards and spiral binder (with tear out sheets).
One last thing.. I just noticed the the cover of this journal looks vaguely familiar…. it’s destiny!
