I am in love with our decision to update the door hardware on all of our interior doors.
The door hardware update was a budget friendly home improvement project with a huge impact. Our previous hardware, including handles and hinges, were the brassy builder grade variety.
Over the past year we updated each and every door handle and hinge. Dozens and dozens of handles and hings belonging to interior doors and closets. We decided early on to tackle one room/space at a time because of the cost and time involved with each door.
Not only did we replace the door handles we had to install matching hinges. The hinges were more
of a pain time consuming, because they involved removing each door. However, the mismatched finishes was all the motivation we needed to get this update completed.
My children refer to this as… “Hashtag, suburban mom probs.”
This is the finished look on all of our interior doors and closets. Every last one. This door hardware update was worth the time, cost and labor. Think about this for motivation; every day begins and ends with a door handle.
Baldwin handles and hinges in oil rubbed bronze (ORB) at the Home Depot. The finish looked more matte black. We love it!
