organized desk challenge
My home office makes my husband nervous. I office from home (most days) as a managing partner for a med device company. I also manage not a trophy wife from this desk. This was the view of my desk when I decided I had to to get ahead of the chaos and create an organized desk.
I have a system. Really I do. Sometimes I blame my desk for the chaos. I think my desk might be too big. There’s so much surface area it just asks to be filled with folders, calendars, spiral notebooks and my love for permanent markers and high lighters.
Calendars and permanent markers and highlighters calm me! But, I admit half the time I use the wrong binder for the wrong list. I keep separate spiral notebooks for my day job and my fun job (blogging).
organized desk inspiration
I am in love with the idea of an organized desk. Here are a few easy ideas I found online at BH&G. This first one is my favorite! What a concept to keep glasses in a tray. Genius!
I have the identical magazine storage bins inside this cabinet. It’s so simple and effective! I could incorporate these ideas for a more organized desk.
One can never have enough baskets. I need a basket next to my desk to keep favorite magazines. I tend to stack magazines on my desk. Over time, I forget why I saved the reading materials.
Finally, I mentioned the size of my desk contributed to my organized desk challenge. The length matches that of a small dining table. In fact, we move my desk into the living room for Thanksgiving.
I love the concept of a smaller desk like this one. I love the chair and the hardwood floors too.
