I am so excited to share these bird seed balls. I found these treats at a fun antique shop outside of Denver in a town called Castle Rock. It’s called “The Barn” with shops throughout both levels. I found these balls of bird seedtucked in a corner and at $6.00 per ball it was an easy decision to pick up two!
I know the perfect place for these bird seed balls in my backyard! A word of caution; place these balls away from patios. I learned this messy lesson after the birds dived and dropped over our back patio.
Originally I thought I would make these bird seed balls. But, at $6.00 a piece it was not worth the effort. I like to consider the cost/benefit of projects…. even bird seed. Besides, I never would have made such a pretty bird treat.
These treats would make a fun house warming or hostess gift. I may return and pick up a few more.
