HI Everyone! How was your weekend? We had so many firsts in our family this weekend and I can’t wait to share in the weeks ahead. My oldest son flew to Minneapolis for a weekend on a lake with his college friends (and a set of parents), but not before boarding and reboarding his flight three times over ten hours. So while he waited to get a mile high view of Denver, I had fun capturing a mile high view of the living room.
If you are in a funk with a room or the furniture layout, take a photo of the space from a different angle. In this case, the upper level of our home overlooks the living room. So this different view of the living room was just what I needed to assess what I liked and didn’t like about the space.
It’s a cool view and it was an unexpected tool to see what’s working and what’s not working in a room. I love this chaise! We purchased it at Crate & Barrel during the Labor Day sale. It’s a staple piece in the living room. It’s the place where everyone takes in the views (while on their phones).
I want to purchase one for our master bedroom.
That plant! I can’t decide if it’s getting the light it needs. But, I love the contrast of green against the blue rug.
That’s what I am talking about.. I took this photo from the stairs after taking 21 photos of the plant at eye level.
This photo is my favorite. I grabbed this photo to get a before pic of the windows before they are replaced (that project got rescheduled because of the (much needed) rain Denver had last week.
From this view, the coffee table looks way to small and the club chairs look too far from the couch. See that bench to the left?
That tiny space has filled many things. What I really want is a fireplace mantel or maybe an electric fireplace.
My husband is not on board with a plug-in fireplace.
