I am all cried out this week. Thank you for your sweet comments about our Australian Shepherd, Tanner, who RAN to the Rainbow Bridge. He is at peace and we will get there too (peace, not to the Rainbow Bridge). This week-ending is about a pivot from tears to teardowns and a few dozen tissues.
On Tuesday morning my son and husband set off for the 15-hour drive to Minneapolis. My son took a car out this year and so they moved most of his clothes, tennis gear and a golf bag into his college rental house.
The house is located six blocks from his front door to campus. Score! My son asked me to join them so I found an economy ticket and was there for 23 hours. I loved every minute of it.
I really wanted to stay another day to add some hand towels and a wreath for the door leading into the screened in front porch. We don’t do screened in porches in Denver. So it’s a new concept to me. With trips to Ikea and Target, we checked off boxes on my son’s shopping list. The list thing? He gets that from me.
This week-ending is where I pivot from tears to teardowns (think drywall, tile and fireplaces). It’s amazing how I can focus on the projects with a Thanksgiving week deadline. It’s time to check off some boxes.
Tears to Teardowns
Pushing past the tears here are a few things that caught my attention and my heart from this week’s Bloglovin feed. Did I find you?
Apparently, I am not the only mom who used the shoulder of her t-shirt to wipe the tears and running nose after saying goodbye to my middle child at college. Read what this mom did to get past the tears here. Tell her Laura in Colorado sent you over.
I don’t know what’s cuter her dual sided sign or her accent.
If you have a drawer or vase full of wine corks… check out these ways to upcycle wine corks. Love!
If you need a little help getting your office organized check out Carol’s post for a little inspiration.
I am obsessed with Sandy’s Charcuterie boards and entertaining ideas. Obsessed!
Have a great week-ending and thank you again for all your comments this past week and on my Instagram feed.
