With a house full of teens and young adults I have plenty of time in the early hours of the day for coffee and to linger over Pinterest. It’s mornings like these I wish I was married to a structural engineer. Because I can not take my eyes off this wall. It’s the wall that separates the family and living rooms. It’s the wall that has an architect’s renderings for a dual-sided fireplace. I shared my dreams here.
My family (husband) gets very nervous when my eyes start to wander around the house (the wall). Sometimes I stare at the wall to just mess with him because he knows. So before I turn to my 2019 house goals I decided to appreciate the favorite posts and projects in 2018.
The biggest surprise on the favorites of 2018 is it feels like I just finished them weeks ago. Like this never-ending hutch. Over the course of a few months I painted the hutch at least three times. And, you all showed me the love as I figured out the painted hutch here. I finally got to this paint color.
Engineer prints was a game changer for my kids’ blank walls. I shared the details where and how details here.
This next favorite project in 2018 is addictive. And, a reminder to stop and ask gardeners or arborists for their cut branches.
This stain hack grabbed the attention of men and women. I use a similar technique for frosting small sugar cookies.
If you are looking for an easy way to add a little character to your just about any room in your house take
Our most popular piece of furniture was also one of my favorite posts to share in 2018. And, this dining room table post was the beginning of a big decision I will share in 2019!
Our Giving Table
I hopped onto the faux fur craze with this easy side table project. It’s another addictive project where you will look around for other objects to cover in faux fur!
Faux Fur Side Tabe
I loved the results of our front door. I shared the details from stain to paint! No looking back except to catch a glimpse of the interior side of the front door!
