Ahhh… the dangers of online shopping. Recently on a Friday afternoon with the QuickBooks closed for the weekend and maybe a glass of wine, I hopped on William Sonoma. I had a $60 credit on a gift card to William Sonoma. I planned to order a zucchini spiralizer . When my shopping cart rang up at $29.99 and the free shipping offer was just an additional $20.01 I searched for another kitchen utensil. Somehow my search from kitchen accessories moved to the furniture. Until that Friday afternoon I did not know William Sonoma had furniture.
I have no idea how I found dining room chairs. Oh wait.. that’s not true I saw this picture of a bench. I think I love the wall and paint color as much as the bench. This is the bench I had searched for on other popular sites, but either the price was too high or the quality was too low. This Fitzgerald bench was on clearance; it was also “all sales final.”
Here’s where my logic went sideways. If I was going to get this amazing deal on this bench it made sense to buy the two side chairs and the two end chairs. I mean it wouldn’t be fair to have one comfy bench that everyone wanted to sit on. It was for our family and friends, right? It would be perfect for the holidays. And, it fit with my long term vision of our dining room. We had already knocked out a half wall between the dining room and kitchen. So I clicked through a few more pages and my shopping cart got to a level where I surpassed the free shipping minimum and was now faced with a white glove delivery charge.
Four weeks later I had my early birthday/anniversary/Mother’s Day gift! Love it!
I added a few of my favorite pillows to soften the white. They are actually pillow covers and I ordered them HERE. I am not sure how I will handle the first glass of red wine. I may have to wrap the chairs in plastic wrap. Here’s the entire set in our dining room. My goal was to make the dining room more comfortable and casual. I want to use this space for more than just Thanksgiving and Christmas.
PS I never ordered the Spiralizer.

You definitely had to get the chairs! That’s what happens when you are shopping for spiralizers. 🙂

Hahaha! Yes, I’ve had my “black-out” moments when online shopping, too! You’re dining room is beautiful as are the chairs and bench! Stopping by from Link Party Palooza and pinning to Pinterest!
