pumpkin bars
Have you tried Trader Joe’s pumpkin bars? Today I am sharing their Pumpkin Bars. I found these bars on an end cap of my favorite store and decided to give them a try. It’s hard for me to pass up a pumpkin bar mix during the fall. I am crazy for just about anything with the word pumpkin during this season. These bars took two minutes to prep and 90 seconds to devour! They were fool proof which is a big plus for me and my skills. This pumpkin bar mix cost just under $3.00 per box. I served these bars for a warm breakfast. These would be great for an after school snack too. Check out what I did the second time I made these bars.
With the success of the first box I decided to play with the mix. This is what I do; I can’t just enjoy the success of a recipe- I have to go back and alter it. The second time I made these Trader Joe’s pumpkin bars I used 1/2 the butter because the first batch was a little too sweet. Just a little. The end result of the second batch with less butter; no one in the family noticed the missing 1/2 stick of butter.
In full disclosure I wrote this post while finishing off not one, but two Snicker bars from the Halloween stash. So, I guess it’s a good thing a 1/2 of the butter stick was not used in the making of these Pumpkin Bars!
