Hi everyone! I’ve got big changes going on here at Not a Trophy Wife. If you missed the drama last week you can find it here appropriately titled hackapalooza.
As I sort through the magnitude of my lost posts it’s only fitting my first decor post is about my love for decorating with boxwood.
So I wanted to show off my love for one of my decorating staples in my “brownstone in the suburbs. I love boxwood and just recently discovered it while visiting my sister in Knoxville.
Boxwood is a must have in the south. But, living in Denver I needed to make sure the boxwood was not exposed to rooms with direct sunlight. This slate serving board is on my diy farmhouse shelves, which I would link if I still had that post. deep breath #hackapalooza
I purchased this cute little boxwood tree in Knoxville and paid more money to ship it back to Colorado than what I paid for it. A few weeks later I found the identical tree at Target. But, I love the petite shape and the fact I purchased while on a trip to visit my sister makes it a special memory.
My sister may think differently since she had to haul my load or purchases to a UPS store to ship! #lovemysissy
Here is one of my favorite wood crates of all times. Source below. I placed these two boxwood wreaths in the crate with plans to change it up later that week. Nine months later these wreaths are nestled in there against the dark stained wood. The little candle is from a friend who purchase it for me at Magnolia Market.
