It’s the little things in life that make me smile! ike when I spotted these little Roma tomatoes growing on the vine. This was my
1st 12th attempt at container gardening in the past several years. I have not had any luck with any other produce. So I was thrilled to see these little Roma tomatoes. In fact, spotting these little guys made me smile. I am not sure this harvest would be considered a success in the garden club circles. But, I am going to keep on smiling.
My Roma tomatoes are petite. What does that mean? I know Roma tomatoes are smaller, but mine look malnourished. Is this the result of too much sun, water? Not enough? Is it normal for tomatoes to grow in spurts?
Mine were really slow growing and look like they were barely hanging on and then a few days later they are bright red. Here’s this week’s “crop” of tomatoes. I would love suggestions on what I can do differently. When July rolled around I noticed the tomato leaves were turning brown and starting to shrivel. That’s probably a good description of my knees and shoulders! Ba dam cha!
After I picked these winners I noticed the leaves on the tomato vine were looking dried out? I have my tomatoes facing south/west during the day. Would love suggestions in the comments on what I can do to get these tomatoes back on track. Also what’s another easy vegetable to grow in a container? Thanks!
