One text to my painter on a Monday changed the direction of that entire week! ha! Okay maybe week is an exaggeration, but a text on a Monday evening changed our home’s home’s paint colors on Tuesday. Our house looks amazing with new paint colors. Our house was in need of a makeover; the house was looking dated, tired and run down. I think I am still talking about my house!
I describe our house as a brownstone stuck in the suburbs. And, like a brownstone it has lots of stairs from the lowest level to the top floor. I have painted every other space in our home , but I had to draw the line when our 2 story ceilings require a 24 foot ladder to paint the ceiling.
So I texted my painter on a Monday and he was at my door the next day with a crew and a truck full of ladders. Sidenote: It helps my painter had just finished a job down the street so he was ready to stay in the neighborhood for two extra days (and not have to move his trailer).
I love the new paint colors in my home because I had spent nearly a year testing shades of grays and whites. I went lighter and brighter. Our previous paint colors were dark beiges/browns. Circa 2004. Anyone remember Jackson Tan?
Here’s a quick before of our family room.
Ceilings done: And, we removed the shutters for the amazing views.
Here’s a sneak peek of the family room now… the Benjamin Moore colors for the ceiling and walls are listed below.
Any guesses to the colors used! Please pin-away! I will paint the guest bath in Hale Navy after the holidays. Don’t need to hire a painter for ceilings under 14 feet!
