Grandma might get run over by a reindeer, but she won’t trip on her way to the front door with this path made of pavers. Our homes have their own paths and trails. Over time, some of these paths get re-routed or show signs of more fabric barrier than mulch.
I decided, before the snow falls, to create an easy to follow path to our front door. Just a few pavers to welcome friends, family and the UPS driver to our porch. A clean, clear direction to minimize a costly misstep. I had visions of a grandparent twisting an ankle with an unsteady step or more likely an inebriated relative missing the path altogether.
On an unseasonably warm October day I picked up a few square pavers from Lowes and two bags of mulch to freshen up the mulch madness from the summer months. I wanted to freshen it up and anchor the pavers into the ground. I didn’t want to spend more on mulch as we head into winter.
This project took less than an hour and less than $20. The pavers freshens up the entrance and creates a path as we settle into our homes for the winter. What small outdoor project do you want to finish before the snow?
Even a golf ball found it’s way to our front steps….
