I spent the
weekend a few minutes sorting through before and after home projects. I had fun reviewing the dining room transformation over the past decade. The most recent dining room makeover was the result of an online search for a zucchini spiralizer. The image above is my favorite photo of our most recent dining room transformation.
I love this space and my plan is to make it more family friendly for dinners and parties. With the most recent dining room transformation the walls were lighter with this favorite paint color and we knocked out the 1/2 wall and expanded the entrance into the kitchen.
Reviewing the dining room photos it was fun to see the transformation of the space over the years. Shortly after we purchased our home we hired a painting company to paint all of the white walls and ceilings. We painted the dining room two shades of brown and a dark red/brown (Whittal Brown) for the ceiling. I shared the story of how a night at our neighborhood Bunko party resulted in the purchase of our home.
It’s hard to believe just over a year ago our most recent dining room transformation looked like this. In all fairness the room was a much lighter shade of blue. I loved it at the time because it was so much lighter than the previous paint colors. You can see the original wall separating the dining room and kitchen. This was a much easier project than we ever expected.
It’s fun to review where we have been and the transformations that take place inside our homes. It offers perspective, feelings of accomplishment and a drive to create a space that welcomes friends and family.
