Hey everyone! I want to share a simple shower update you can make today. I tell my sellers the one thing they have to do before their house hits the market. The one thing…
Keep the toiletries out of sight in the bathrooms. Specifically, remove all toiletries from the counter tops and items around the shower/tub area. Buyers don’t need to know the details of your morning routine. This includes trash cans too. Stash the trash cans under the sink. As soon as your home goes under contract, you can bring it all back.
Yes it’s a pain, but it’s a short term pain… like showings.
The second half of this shower update is to purchase a new shower curtain. If you have a dated, brass finish around your shower/tub, buy a shower curtain to add a little texture and to hide the difficult to keep clean shower. A simple fabric (not vinyl) shower curtain adds privacy to the contents of the shower and more importantly adds warmth to the bathroom. This look says “this is an extension of our home.”
And, when my sellers are ready to preview homes, the first thing they comment on is the status of the bathroom. It makes me smile every time.
