I love the color pink about as much as Oprah loves bread! I start to think pink around my house in March with the spring season kickoff and Easter. This time of year pink is a two-fer with a holiday and season tucked into the calendar.
And, I’m going to kick it up a notch on the lazy decorator meter by admitting a roll of ribbon goes along way during a holiday or season. Just like this decorating trick for Christmas. With spring it’s a think pink theme.
I fell in love with the tulips at Trader Joe’s. They are under 10 bucks and are a great way to kick off a weekend with fresh tulips on the table. Or, in this case, my sons surprised their sister (aka their “roommate) with fresh tulips. We all know who bought them, but it was nice gesture to get her brothers into the idea of flowers for girls, sisters and their mom. (hint hint)
My favorite place for ribbon is around a boxwood wreath. Ribbon just adds a pop of color to my favorite type of wreath. It’s like lipstick! It just adds a pop of color!
I snuck a little bit of pink to highlight the pink in the sign on this front door wreath. My earlier attempt at this spring wreath ended up here for Easter. Wind in Colorado can make for a disheveled wreath on the front door. Does anyone else have fun with a roll of ribbon in their decor?
