Hi Everyone- This is bedroom update for my college age daughter is a project of love; love for my daughter. Over the holidays {last year} we discussed updating her room to move away from pink & brown to gray & navy! Well, fast forward to this past summer when she was living at home while completing an internship we finally made some progress. Here’s a peek at her new room with her little sister waiting for her sister to come home for Thanksgiving break.
Here’s a few pics of her room before the makeover: First thing we did was clear out the room. This bear was given to her by her aunt and uncle for her 3rd birthday. The pink chair had to go to: she is over the pink and it was so uncomfortable. Even her Christmas ornaments were pink!
Here’s the after. I lightened the walls with Benjamin Moore Stonington. I removed the built-in desk which was so much easier than I expected. It’s kind of scary what you can take apart with small crowbar or large flat screw driver! This last sentence frightens my husband! This is now an empty space (for now). A source list of accessories and furniture is below.
I moved her desk to underneath the larger of two windows. Much better view here than staring into a wall!

This wall needs something, but I am waiting for baby girl to get home! I grabbed that lamp from Target and haven’t done anything else to her room! Knowing her she has a Pinterest board of ideas with price points for décor options! So excited to see her!
Love these note cards we framed. The black frames pop against the wall color:
We recovered her bulletin boards with this fun fabric. They look a little lost on this wall, but we have some plans in the works for this space. In the meantime, Chloe is waiting for her sissy to get home for Thanksgiving:
