I have an obsession love with chalkboards. I can count at least 5 chalkboards in my house. Two of them are chalk serving boards so I don’t count those as chalkboards… that would make me a little obsessive. So imagine my reaction when I found chalkboard placemats over at one of my favorite stores, I paid a little more ( I found a similar size board at Target), but I will always pay a little more to purchase items manufactured in the USA!
I started with just one chalkboard placemat as a stocking stuffer for myself, but the pull for a set was too strong. After Christmas I went back to purchase a complete set for our kitchen table. I thought it would be a fun doodling activity on the nights we are all home for dinner and a get a rare opportunity for a little pre-homework conversation gentle interrogation. I love these chalk board placemats! I have a few other ideas for them too! And, the place setting looks great against my white dishes and soup crock bowls I found here.
