Detox Cleanse without a Blender…
Welcome to January! The month of detox, resolutions ( I just typed revolutions) and withdrawals! I consume more calories per day in December than any other month of the year! And, I am not a smoothie detox kind of girl. The thought of cleaning my blender every day makes water and lemon a much easier option than a liquid cleanse. But, I am a girl who needs substance. While cleaning out my fridge I came up with quick detox meal with veggies and brown rice. And, I used frozen veggies from the freezer. So I also cleaned out the fridge while cleaning the gut!
It’s easy and filling! I finally transitioned my family over to brown rice with the Trader Joe’s microwavable brown rice. These individually packaged and microwaveable bags of brown rice are perfect for a quick, fiber filled side. I have tried multiple varies of brown rice, but Trader Joe’s is a family favorite and staple in the freezer!
Here’s the recipe. Brown rice and any frozen vegetables in your freezer! I added a few dried cranberries to give it a little sweet! I added frozen broccoli that was buried in my freezer, but was revived with a little water and heat. Frozen veggies get shamed for well being too cold, but they have a way of warming up to you! BA DUM CHUCK! In full disclosure as I am writing this post I am inhaling the Trader Joe’s Spinach and Kale Bites!
Boom! Fiber filled with a little sweet!
