I played Frankenstein in my kitchen this week! I was trying to find a way to use my fun eye candy (literally eye candy) with kid friendly drink creations! I was also secretly hoping to get a smile out of my boys when they found these in the refrigerator ( at eye level ,of course, because they are boys). They would never find these if I placed them above or below their line of sight! Ha! I had fun with a little food coloring! I couldn’t figure out how to incorporate my eye candy until I stuck them on top of a large marshmallow! I grabbed the orange food coloring and had some fun! Just hanging out! The marshmallows work great because they float and the candy eyes stick on top of the marshmallow!
Now I wasn’t convinced my boys would go for the monster milk and in the back of my mind I was a little leery about milk and food coloring. Which doesn’t make sense because I have no problem eating frosting that has been tinted neon shades of pink! So I came up with one more idea. Pretend this is hot chocolate, but with 80 degree temperatures I went with chocolate milk!
These mugs are from my post-Halloween finds at Crate and Barrel last year. See those finds here.
I just love this little monster monster marshmallow guy!

Such a fun and simple idea! Thanks so much, I can’t wait to try this with my grands.
Thanks Sherri!
What a cute idea — now, why didn’t I think of that. My daycare kiddos will LOVE this. Thanks for a great idea. Rhonda
What a cute idea. I can imagine my boys seeing a surprise like that when they were kids. I can hear the giggles now. I may still try that for next Sunday when they come for dinner. You are never to old to have some fun. Have a Marvelous day!
