HI there- I admit I don’t use a lot of red, white and blue in my house for the 4th of July. I think because the heat just makes me cranky and it doesn’t have the wind up like say Halloween where you can get a good 4 weeks out of the ghosts and pumpkins! So this year I decided to add a little red, white and blue to the house for our new puppy! Her first 4th of July with us! (wink, wink).
I picked these red, white and blue pillow covers up at pickyourplum.com. I have several basic $4 Ikea pillows and I cover them with seasonal pillow covers (and sometimes I just wrap the front with fabric). If you haven’t checked out Pick Your Plum check it out. Some of the stuff is cheesy, but there are some crafty finds that are worth checking out (no royalties for the shout out).

This is my favorite look in my front yard. Basic black bench from a box, add a coffee bean bag from the local nursery ( I asked how much and the manager was like just pick one out- no charge). Add a pillow and done! Seriously, this is my favorite look! Happy 4th of July! xo, laura@notatrophywife.
