I said it! I want a girly office! I am juggling 3 separate “revenue sources” andI need a pretty (girly) space! This has been a work in progress for over 3 years. This is where my office started 3 years ago: And, my first step was to buy this desk at Pottery Barn on New Years Eve of 2012! The Printer’s Desk. It was the floor model! FYI…. I am on a list of potential buyers who are interested in Pottery Barn’s floor sample sales. And, a sales associate actually called me! I assumed it was a made up list to give some of us buyers hope!
So I had my dream desk, but my space was still dark. And, now I had a dark stained desk. And, my paint makeovers and diy shelf were now looking too dark for the space! Hmmm… So to see the vision I had to clear the room. Sorry for the grainy photo! And with white ceilings and new paint.. it started to brighten up! Along the way, I painted the diy shelf I made the year before and I repainted the filing cabinet and added new hardware. So easy! I spent a lot of nights just moving furniture around the room. Yep, fun winter nights while waiting for Scandal to return! And, a funny thing happened. I found my groove and the furniture fell into place. Photos:

I love how it turned out. I wish I had a more designated place to work, as I am getting more and more into my blog I am finding that my desk in the study right off the living room is not cutting it. Some peace and quiet would do wonders. I love the wall with the cork board, functional and cute!

One day I am going to have a Office Space of my own too! I’m tired of blogging in the recliner and at the kitchen table. But no matter where I go… the children find me! 😉

Looks wonderful.

I like how the curtain rod hangs from the ceiling. We have a recessed window in our master and the insides are not very workable for screws and the curtain rod always comes loose. I’ll have to look into something that hangs from the top. Great make over! The paint is amazing!
