décor in minutes | 2 Minute Tuesdays
The seasons fly by so fast and if I didn’t love spending time decorating for the seasons and holidays (there is a difference) I would call it a huge sane drain! But, I love the seasons and holidays and LOVE to decorate. My friends give me a hard time when I am “pumpkin-izing” my house and yard!
Some years I am more into décor than other years so I have a few quick ideas when the calendar is busy with work, travel, family, illness or all of the above! Here you go:
Before:
After: It is the easiest change for the holidays. I add seasonal ribbon around planters all year. It’s fun, easy and cheap! I add the same ribbon in red during Christmas. It’s just easy! I’m not talented enough to do much more than ribbon!
Dual purpose décor. There is no shame in cutting corners.
A friend gave me this serving tray. She found it at Goodwill, spray painted it and added the ribbon. I plan on switching the ribbon this fall!
I found these moss balls at Pottery Barn this spring. I hope to use these year round with just adding twine or mixing with holly berries. This is a little matchy, but I love these moss balls!
I know for some of you these are second nature ideas, but sometimes I get so “in the weeds” on a craft project that I never finish it!
