~avocado, toast and a hard boiled egg ~
Today I am sharing my protein packed breakfast. It’s my new favorite and I eat it almost every day. I find the fewer decisions I have to make the more likely I am to stick to a cleaner diet. It’s that simple. If you had told me a year ago I would be sharing a breakfast idea with avocado I would have said, “No way.. avocados are for guacamole.” Well I am sharing my new favorite protein packed breakfast and just ask you consider it for your morning (or lunch) meal. It’s filling, takes seconds to prepare and is easy to eat on the run. As soon as I tried this for breakfast I was hooked. Some days I eat the same thing for lunch.
I started with a slice of whole wheat toasted, spread a schmear of avocado and a smidge of sea salt. And then I added a hard boiled egg to my breakfast and all of a sudden I wasn’t hungry at 10:30am. I also started buying hormone free and free range eggs too. They cost more, but it’s the right thing to do! And, I just got an extra 6 grams of protein for only 65 calories. No processed ingredients or added sugar. Not convinced? The first time I tried this I closed my eyes when I tasted the avocado on toast. Like I said I only associated it with a bowl of chips. What do you have to lose… except a processed meal!
