I am on year two to kick my lifelong soda habit. Some days are better than others and vacations are where I jump off a cliff into endless refills of Diet Pepsi. The 90’s were a decade of “low fat” and “no calorie” options, but the truth is soda, even the zero calorie versions, are not healthy. To kick my soda habit I traded the 12 oz. cans for the 7.5 ounce cans. I paid more for the smaller cans, but it was an investment in my health. And, my quest to find alternatives to soda began. I shared my soda detox journey, but at the end of the day water is the best option for me. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want a little personality in my water. I am not a big fan of cucumbers on their own, but the idea of a green veggie floating in my water intrigued me. With a 1/2 a cucumber in the fridge I decided to risk it all and add it to a glass of ice water.
I’m drinking the Koolaid or in this case the cucumber. It’s everything one would imagine it to be. It’s refreshing and adds just the right amount of I don’t know what…. cucumber or freshness. It’s produce in a glass of ice water. The glass is the key… a glass makes any drink fancier. Love it!
What do you add to your water to give it a little kick (and I’m not talking vodka)! Ha!

I love cucumbers and water! I also add a few strawberries to it. But it is so refreshing. It helps me get my required water in take in for the day.
