Hi everyone- I was at Lowe’s Home Improvement a few weeks ago and found these perennials. Not the perennials outside or down the center aisle, but tucked away near the mulch. At first I was like , “Why is there a random shelf with perennials?” And, then I spotted the clearly identifiable clearance tag. I had found the island of misfit perennials! I love a sale, but clearance for items I need is just a day of awesome! Some of the plants looked like they needed to be on life support, but the majority of the perennials just needed water! For someone who forgets to water plants, a sale on perennials needing TLC is witnessing Darwin’s Theory of Evolution in my own backyard!

While checking out my son spotted this little one eating the buffet provided by Lowes. I mentioned to the sales associate it was so nice the staff provided food and the associate said it was to bribe the seasonal tenants to stay away from the outdoor garden section. Who knew? And, as if a clearance section at Lowe’s wasn’t enough I got to spend an hour with one of my children.
Stay tuned for the backyard project from hell! What doesn’t kill me makes more crazy!! xo, laura
