2 Minute Tuesday : Seasonal Soap Display

owl soaps

I saw these cute little owls in a advertisement and knew it would  be fun to use them to dress up some soap in my guest bathroom.

I took bars of soap, wrapped in brown craft paper and glued the owl cutouts. Finished with a little burlap and twine. Just a pop of color in my bathroom.  What do you think?  2 Minute Project? Check!

 Two Minute Tuesday!

Happy Fall Y’all!  With the temperature drops this time of year, some of us get additional house guests sneaking  into our garages and homes!  I’m talking about mice, not mother- in-laws!  Kidding!  I am not a fan of traps and tried the sticky trap which was horrible!  It  left one of my children with a visual of the mouse’s fate,  all but guaranteeing  he will be in therapy because of flashbacks to our mice epidemic in the fall of 2012! But, what  if I could share a solution that minimizes the chances of you having to touch the trap or see the mouse? Spoiler Alert: Stop Here f you don’t believe in mouse traps.

SUPPLIES:

Paper bag with handles, scissors, mouse trap and peanut butter or cheese.

HOW TO:

Cut “doors” into each end of paper bag. Place trap inside (spring loaded with treat). Place along wall where you suspect a mouse has been or will travel pass. Place bag out at night and check in the morning.
