Hi there~ I have got my eye on a some furniture I’m drooling over at Crate & Barrel. The reason we are in the market for new furniture is we notoriously purchase furniture that is either over or under sized for the room. And, then we I complain about the sizing. I have been “observing” for a very long time. Here are a few options we are considering:
A chair and ottoman perhaps:
Or, this sectional that can have the chaise on either side:
We were trying to figure out the best furniture placement for the side chaise. Here’s the living room before we cleared it. The large glass book case stays:
We used blue painter’s tape to map out the furniture placement of the chaise since this was the piece that might complicate the angles of the room. We didn’t want the furniture to be too big to block the entry into the room:

I like the idea of a chaise because my living room and family room is one in the same and with chaise you can lay out and relax or have the whole gang keeping you company.
Great idea! I have some C & B pieces that I love! They are big though…good for our room and seat a lot of people !
