HI everyone- I have been busy painting this winter. Rooms and touchups. We have several “bump outs” that were painted a deep Merlot and it is driving me crazy! I am in the mood for lighter and brighter. The good news is the “bump outs” are smaller sections of a wall so I get that almost instant gratification of a job checked off my to do list 1436 items!
Here is a quick painting tip my friend shared years ago when painting screws or nails that are going back into the drywall in the room (think switch plates). Sometimes I just buy the new plates, but usually I just paint the plates the same as the wall color. This painting tip is for the screws and nails. This would also work for any small items that need a fresh coat of paint. All you need is a Styrofoam plate.
Just punch the screws into the plate with the head of the screw exposed. The Styrofoam plate keeps the screws from rolling around, minimizing accidental messes. Thanks for stopping by for this 2 Minute Tuesday idea!
